Quilt Blocks for March We Be Learning Beginner Bee

This is the earliest I've finished a monthly block.  This one was fun to make.  I was afraid of points and triangles ( yikes, I still am).

Wonky Star #1

Very Wonky Star #2

I really didn't like how this one turned out but I'm not tossing it.  I'll keep this and use it in the monthly quilt block I'm making for myself.  The only thing about finishing the block so early in the month is that it is a long time until the next month.

Quilt Blocks and Bees

January Block for Bee Member
I joined We Bee Learning Beginner Block Bee in January of this year. Try saying that real fast 10 times.  LOL   I really didn't know what I was getting into or what to expect but I must say I have really enjoyed being a member of this group.

Each month we make a new block that has been selected by one of the members of our group and when we finish the chosen block we then mail it to the member who selected it.  What a great way to get a quick quilt!!!

February Block 2012 made identical block for myself
My Jan. Block 2012

I decided to make an identical block for myself and that way I will have a quilt for every month.  Isn't that cool!!   This month's member chose a Wonky Star Block for her quilt.  I have never made a wonky star but I'll give it my best shot.

Have a great day!!

Another Baby Quilt

I wasn't going to make another baby quilt but when I saw this fabric
I caved in and bought it for our little Rebecca, who may be here a
little earlier than expected.  I haven't finished it yet but I'll get it done

in a couple of days.   The first photo just doesn't tell much about the fabric.
The second is much better.  It's a simple pattern using 4 colors and there are 4
pieces to each block.  It was a lot of fun.

These are  some blocks I made a couple of years ago.  I love the colors combination and I'm happy with the blocks.  So why haven't I put them all together and made them into a quilt???   I don't know!  I drag them out and look at them every so often and then put them back into the fabric box.   Maybe I really don't like them after all??

Do you have unfinished quilts lurking in your home?

Baby quilt

We are going to have grandbaby # 10 in February.  A little girl whose name is Rabecca .  So I decided to make a quilt for our little darlin.  I made my first Quilt as you sew baby quilt.  It was fun and fast work.  I managed to whip this one out in just a couple of hours.

I love the bright pink colors.   What's even better is my DIL loved it.  I have enough fabric left I think I'll make a few bibs using the same layout. Hmmmmmmm... What else could I make?
